Ein Sportler testet das Minimum Viable Product der Fitness Coaching Plattform.

Fit Drills

Testing ideas quickly on the market with MVP development

The minimum viable product enables the trainer and her speed skater to test the coaching plattform.

Fit Drills Webcoach is a fitness coaching platform to connect coaches and athletes of different sports (e.g. running, alpinism, swimming, etc.) and to make training sessions even more efficient and personalised.

Challenge

Before Greenliff got involved, Fit Drills consisted of a webpage and the Fit Drills Workout Tracker mobile app for iOS. But the core piece, the platform which we built under the name of Fit Drills Webcoach, was still missing. However, the platform is essential for communication between coach and athlete, because it is the tool to create and share training plans and to document training progress.

How we got there

To test the customer's business idea quickly and efficiently on the market, we went for Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development tor the backend and web frontend of the platform. The entire cycle, from creation over the exchange of training plans to feedback, was supposed to work ultimately.

Creating relevance for users

The simplicity and user-friendliness of the platform were the most critical issues. Therefore, in a first step, we consistently checked each feature for its suitability for the end product and its relevance for the user.

Hit the ground running in an agile way

To move forward as efficiently as possible, we developed the MVP in an agile project approach. The customer thus continuously receives a functional version, which he can to try out and test. This methodology makes it possible to identify and eliminate errors early on in the development process.

"Reliability, extensive know-how in the area of mobile & web applications and excellent support were the reasons why I chose the professionals from Greenliff. The assignment was fulfilled to my complete satisfaction." Andreas Schneider, Founder of Fit Drills

What made our customer happy?

From start to finish in three months

Time was a critical factor in this project. Through the consistent use of Scrum, an agile methodology for project management, we were able to develop a first MVP very quickly. Finally, we were able to achieve productive results very quickly and meet the tight deadline.

One step closer to market entry

Whereas the founder could previously only use concepts to explain his business idea to potential customers, he is now able to demonstrate it live using the MVP. This provides him with much more direct and honest feedback.

Better training due to an interactive exchange

The platform now enables coaches to provide their athletes with training plans that are perfectly tailored to their needs. The athletes document their training progress, after which the coach constantly adapts and expands the training programme.
